Ask a few insightful questions. Stay inquisitive and focus your questions on the current challenges, current ML projects, data, and the product. Show genuine curiosity and take notes. This is a great opportunity to learn about their product and it shows your interest in their company and product.

During my job search in the beginning of my career, I applied for the what I call the “stretch roles”. A stretch role is one where you don’t meet all the job requirements advertised. By my assessment, I probably met somewhere around 70% of the actual requirements (not the advertised ones) for this particular job.
