Certifications are the most important in early and middle career. They are a way for you to show an investment to learn the theory and hands-on basics of the cloud computing world. I strongly believe that pursuing certifications and learning about AWS right out of college is what allowed me to get onto the right customer engagements in consulting. It created opportunities that I did not have before the certifications and was a way for me to build real world, hands on experience. Certifications, on their own, don’t mean much without the experience - BUT are a fantastic way to get it. Put in the work and the results will follow.
