Then start writing the code. Run the test suite after each modification. Don't expect to create perfect test cases (and code) at first. It's an iterative process.

But it's still vital to test your code in multiple environments before deploying the change to production. If something unexpected occurs, write a test case for it. If the SDK doesn't behave the same way in different environments, it will probably be an environment-related issue. If you have a high test coverage (unit and integration tests), you can narrow your search for the root cause to the environment.

It's crucial to handle a variety of errors that can occur during the execution of cloud SDK code. This includes not only network-related issues but also potential problems with data integrity and security. - In the case of a network timeout, implement a mechanism to retry the operation or notify the user appropriately. This ensures that transient network issues don't lead to unnecessary failures. - Validate inputs to prevent unexpected behavior. If invalid inputs are detected, raise a meaningful exception and log the details. - Security is paramount. If a request is unauthorized, gracefully handle it by returning an appropriate response or redirecting to an authentication mechanism. Log the incident for auditing purposes.

Logging is crucial throughout the development process and when the code is already in production. It's OK to have more logs while developing features. We need them for debugging and seeing what happens when the code runs. However, log storage can significantly add to the monthly cloud bill. A good strategy is to limit logs to errors in production and connect them to alarms and notifications (e.g., Slack messages). The log structure is also something you should consider. Write logs in a format that is easy to search and logging services recognize (e.g., JSON).
