The more you add science and tech into the equation, the less you focus on the human component. Until we understand how to eliminate the human component, we have to embrace the fact that people are always going to be part of the equation. With that, we need to recognize that lean principles and processes have to evolve. Being agile is more a value add these days. Understanding that these days are very different than days before, promotes the idea that collaboration may be the only thing that solves the answer of the unanswered question of solving the gap. Understanding people will always dictate the direction of good thought and execution of new process implementation and improvement to existing processes.

Gather your data step be step through the various production processes, confirm what your business outputs need to be, and identify what’s stopping you achieving these objectives, or where improvements can be made. We mapped out manually, and developed our plans. Status of these subject to monthly review

Every organization is different. From an engineering point of view one should not neglect other disciplines. There is tremendous talent pool in every organization. To solve this problem, we are supposed to utilize those talents because they should hone their skills. The solution needs management science skills as well as manufacturing and engineering. In particular, for a software tool obviously IT people should be consulted as well. After forming the right team the brainstorming is recommended to find alternatives and evaluate them. This question suggests that we are seeking a proactively approach and I suggested a process that will ensure facilitation.
