Logic and some basics on formal methods can go a long way to avoid bugs too (and it is not about writing demonstrations). Once you learn it, it becomes part of the way you think. In many cases, you can do the same job without math, sure. But with additional knowledge is a lot less painful and more fun!

The fun thing about projects is that they can be re done differently and with increasing complexity every time one 's knowledge base and skills grow. Once a project is up and running, other aspects of programming will come into play such as scaling and reliability prompting further understanding of Software Design principles from a practical perspective.

From my perspective this is a very important factor to improve your coding skills, there is nothing else that can contribute greatly to your development journey other than building your own stuff. Thats how i started learning programming in general when I was 13. It helps you realize the difference between the ideas you have in your mind and the how they might look like in real life. You learn from your mistakes way faster than just watching tutorials or courses. While in the process of building a project, you discover some new topics you never heard about or issues you never knew they existed. The more you build your own projects, the more perspective you obtain about building real life software that can be used by other people.

Building projects, whether on your own or with a team is always a fun experience. It challenges your brain and the way of thinking in the most positive way possible. Always build projects that are unique, come up with ideas and post your code on GitHub for others to see your portfolio which also increases your chances of getting hired, and your ability to create something far different from others shows your talent. From planning, to building, debugging, resolving issues and finally pushing your code to production stage for your program to function on, gives you a great idea on how Software Engineering should be done.

Don't be afraid to watch videos first so you get an understanding of how the workflow of a project works. Then do a project on your own that's similar to past videos you've watched. The main part about projects is really breaking the project down into small chunks for example if you want to store users then for example work on setting up the database first and then you can focus on other features like building the webpage by using HTML and CSS. When making projects using tools like Github is important. There are a lot of videos on how to use Github but learn how to create repositories, create branches, commits, and pull requests.

Feedback is crucial in any developer's career. Imposter syndrome is a real thing and getting the right type of feedback makes sure that you understand your potential completely. It also sometimes gives you the right direction that early developers are always looking for

You must learn to blend with others and be professional enough to take feedback, regardless of whether it is good or bad, and benefit from it.
