To keep the work evenly distributed, detailed time motion studies of sub processes and volume analysis is necessary. Ensure that all team members are equally trained on the processes. To keep morale high and to avoid workload imbalance, communication between concerned teams is must, clear expectation setting from the start from each member is an add on for an efficient team.

I believe a great start is to ensure there is a culture of open communication in place, along with the right agility on tackling reassessment of distribution of tasks and reevaluation of priorities on spot, when and if needed. Good evaluation from the beginning of the complexity of tasks, a collaborative environment and feedback, touch points are in fact crucial. Sit together align with what makes sense, if there is also high volume in hand, perhaps someone will tackle it quicker. Work as a true team and support each other the moment there are completions of tasks and when someone is in need. Proper recognition and kudos practice within team and by the manager also gives a great boost and is very much needed.
