Lodash _.inRange() Method

The _.inRange() method in Lodash is a utility function that checks if a given number is within a specified range. It’s a simple yet useful method for determining whether a number falls within a specified range. Syntax

_.inRange(number, start, end);

Parameters

• number: This parameter holds the number to check.

Example 1: In this example, we are checking whether the given value is present between the given start and end number, also start number is inclusive.

console.log(_.inRange(5.6, 5));

Output

In this example

• _.inRange(12, 10) returns false because 12 is not between 0 and 10.
• _.inRange(10, 12) returns true because 10 is within the range 0 to 12 (with 0 being the default start).
• _.inRange(5.6, 5) returns false because 5.6 is not less than 5.
