The eReviews system is now LIVE!

What is the eReviews system?

eReviews is a web-based platform that allows researchers to submit initial and ongoing requests to the Research Ethics Boards (REB) for ethics review and store all of their projects' ethics information in one convenient location.

What can researchers do with eReviews?

Researchers are able to fill out all REB forms online, respond to REB feedback online, view application status at all times and track ethics approval expiry dates.

NB: All projects submitted and approved before the launch of the eReviews system have not been merged into the eReviews portal.  Requests for continuing review (modification, renewal, closure) must continue to be submitted using the the forms found at the bottom of this page (Other Request Forms).

When can researchers start using the eReviews system?

eReviews is now live and accessible to all researchers of the University of Ottawa! As of May 1st, 2018, applications submitted in a format other than eReviews will no longer be accepted.

eReviews can be accessed at this link: https://uottawa.evision.ca/uottawa/

User name = letters and numbers that precede "@uottawa.ca"

Please consult the eReviews User Guide for full instructions on account creation and application submission.

Faculty of Medicine: Researchers working on a project in which students from the Faculty of Medicine will be recruited as participants must first obtain approval from the Faculty of Medicine to conduct the project.  This approval must be obtained before an ethics application can be submitted for review by the REB.  Please contact Dr. Melissa Forgie for further details.
