Manufacturing Training Centre

The Manufacturing Training Centre (MTC) provides training on a variety of traditional manufacturing equipment, such as lathes, milling machines and saws, as well as welding and fabrication. Students and staff can register for free workshops given throughout the year.

The Manufacturing Training Centre (MTC) provides training on the use of the equipment through various workshops.

Workshops are offered on a regular basis to provide an introduction on the proper and safe use of the equipment.

All workshops are available to any student and university faculty member interested.

We are always looking for new ways to provide the best resources and equipment’s to design, fabricate, and test complex prototypes. If you think that a training that is not being offered would be beneficial to our users, you can request it by sending us an email.

Expectations during the workshops

  • Show up on time willing to learn
  • Read and understand the training material before attending the workshop
  • Respect the training staff and equipment
  • Wear closed shoes
  • Avoid loose clothes and tie back long hair into a ponytail
