E-Business Technologies
Master in Electronic Business Technologies (MEBT)
Electronic Business Technologies focuses on the integration of information technologies with business processes and strategies within a dynamic legal and business environment. At the base of Electronic Business Technologies is the fact that the application of Internet and information technology to business processes leads to remarkable new ways of conceiving and organizing businesses. This in turn leads to a myriad of innovative modes of management, new organisational structures and information architectures as well as new laws and legal and corporate strategies. Electronic Business Technologies is composed of two major areas of specialization or streams: Electronic Business and Electronic Technologies.
Master of Science in Electronic Business Technologies (MSc)
Electronic Business focuses on organizational transformations based on information technologies. Research includes the identification of best practices and trends, the comparative analysis of new business models, the evaluation of performance based on the introduction of new technologies, the efficacy of the new services and methods in attracting and satisfying customers, and the simulation of integrated supply chains.

E-Business
Electronic business focuses on organizational transformations based on information technologies. Web-based electronic commerce is having a major impact on the activities of business organizations. A number of different forms of integration among or inside organizations have become feasible, for example: B2B (business-to-business), B2C (business-to-consumer), B2E (business-to-employee), in the areas of customer relationship management, supply chain management, aggregation of information assets, and other areas. Organizations that undertake e-commerce often make radical changes in their business models, and offer new products and services in ways that were not envisaged or possible previously. These new practices are referred to as “electronic business”. Therefore, the concept of e-business, as described above, differs from the concept of e-commerce, which targets the technological context of online transactions

E-Commerce
Electronic Commerce is an emerging economic sector experiencing exponential growth. Expertise in electronic commerce must combine advanced knowledge of information technology, business administration and law, all disciplines in which the University of Ottawa offers graduate programs. The graduate diploma in electronic commerce provides advanced expertise explicitly in e-commerce.

Technology Project Management
The graduate diploma is awarded upon successful completion of 15 credits. It is offered mainly in English. Students who meet the admission requirements for the Master of Engineering Management program and who subsequently decide to pursue that degree, would have to complete an additional 15 credits. See section A.7.1. of the general regulations of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (FGPS) for details.

Simon Nehme Summer Entrepreneurship School
The school offers hands-on workshops and events, delivered by members of the entrepreneurial community as well as academia, covering ideation, pitching, customer discovery, marketing, sales and legal issues for startups.
Entrepreneurial internships and CO-OP
As a student at our Faculty, you can work on developing your entrepreneurial idea during a CO-OP work term or simply through an internship. Imagine getting financial support to work on your own business plan! Or if you prefer, you can try working in a start-up company and see what a start-up is all about!
How to apply
Interested students should submit a business plan to Professor Anis, Faculty Coordinator in Entrepreneurship and Innovation, to have it approved as a potential CO-OP or internship work term. CO-OP students must contact the CO-OP office to discuss how this fits into their program of study.
Support and funding
Students will be provided with $6,000/term to either work on developing their own start-up or to work in an existing start-up.
Master degree in Entrepreneurial Engineering Design
The objective of this Master degree is to support engineering students and professionals transform ideas into innovations, by providing advanced training in their relevant fields of expertise, followed by a hands-on “startup launch” project.
The Master’s degree will be a two-year full time program, comprised of three parts: focused classroom training through courses (core and elective), internship in a startup, and finally a "startup launch” project that will enable students to integrate design and entrepreneurial skills as they navigate through the process of seeking an innovative solution to a real market need.
