Startup Garage is a 3-month program led by the University of Ottawa to foster and support youth entrepreneurship in the Ottawa area.

 

The program offers youth-led ventures the opportunity to accelerate their business by providing four essential tools:

The program is delivered through the generous support of the University of Ottawa, Capital Entrepreneurs, the Ontario Centres of Excellence, Invest Ottawa, Gowling WLG and Logan Katz LLP.

To be eligible to participate in the Startup Garage program, at least 1 company founder must be between the ages of 18 and 29, and be named as the applicant on the application form. Companies invited to participate in the program will be eligible for up to $16,500. Each company will be eligible for up to a $1,500 reimbursement of operating expenses. In addition, a maximum of 2 stipends of $7,500 are available if the applicant is affiliated to the University of Ottawa. If the applicant is affiliated to Carleton University, Algonquin College or La Cité college, there is no guarantee that the additional stipends can be obtained.
