Summer University for FLS/FSL Teachers

Summer University

Dates: July 10 to July 21, 2017

The University of Ottawa's Official Languages and Bilingualism Institute (OLBI) is offering summer professional development workshops for FSL elementary and secondary teachers of Core French, Extended French, Intensive French, and Immersion.

This program is open to all Canadian teachers and also to teachers from abroad.
The Ontario Ministry of Education provides bursaries for teachers who work in one of the English-language school boards in the province. Long-term occasional (LTO) teachers in these boards are also eligible. The bursaries are managed by OLBI.

We thank the Government of Ontario and the Government of Canada through the Department of Canadian Heritage for their financial support.

Housing

To assist participants to find housing, which is not included in the program cost, here are some suggestions. Many past participants enjoyed living in residence on the main university campus. They appreciated the convenience and services offered to students during the summertime. There are different options, at different price points. Residences are generally not air-conditioned.

University of Ottawa Residences :

With the collaboration of the Housing Services, we reserved several rooms in the Henderson residence for participants registered to the program.

Each apartment is double-occupancy and participants are responsible for finding a roommate. If you need help finding a roommate, join our Facebook page and post a share-housing request on our wall!

Please make sure to confirm the booking of your room by June 10th. Simply go to the Accommodation website and be sure to include the following promotional code: UDETE2017
