Alumni across the globe stay connected to their alma mater through participating in dynamic regional events and initiatives and engaging with active regional councils.
Regional councils have been established and alumni events take place annually in:
- Canada: Montreal, Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver
- US: Boston, New York, Bay Area (California) and Los Angeles
- Outside of North America: London, Paris, Hong Kong and Shanghai

About Our Regional Councils
Our twelve regional alumni councils are made up of dedicated volunteers representing all university faculties and diverse professional backgrounds. From Montreal to New York to Paris and Shanghai– these ambassadors help raise the profile of the University internationally through active outreach, championing philanthropic activity and supporting regional events.
Active Outreach
Regional Council members actively engage in outreach to alumni, students, partners and friends of the University in their region.
Championing Philanthropic Activity
Councils help increase alumni giving and financial support to help advance the University’s mission and support Defy the Conventional: the Campaign for uOttawa.
