Join us to celebrate Open Access Week 2016!
Thursday November 3rd, 2016 at 3:30 pm
Alex Trebek Alumni Hall
The University of Ottawa Library, the University of Ottawa Press and the Copyright Office invite you to join us for a panel discussion on new modes of open access monograph publishing, followed by a reception.
Joining us to discuss local, national and international progress in this exciting area of development will be Jean-Claude Guédon, professor at Université de Montréal; Lara Mainville director of uOttawa Press, and Mark Edington, publisher at Lever Press.
The open access model, which allows individuals across the economic spectrum access to quality and timely research, is already well established in journal publishing. Thanks to innovative partnerships between libraries, presses and institutions, open access has found new audiences in the arts, the humanities, and the social sciences.
The Library will also be announcing the recipient of its first annual Open Scholarship Award! More information on the Award, and the nomination form for faculty can be found on the Open Scholarship Award website.
