Digital humanities helping uOttawa students defy the conventional class project

As described in the recent collection budget update, we are launching a consultation with faculty and graduate students to provide input on the resources that are deemed to be important for teaching and research. The information we receive will provide input to our decision-making process, along with our own analysis and knowledge of collections-related data. The survey is launching today.

Every day until April 9, we’ll post a new quote from a Shakespeare play on LegoWill (see photo) in Morisset and on our Shakespeare research guide. 

He may have died 400 years ago, but Shakespeare’s presence is alive and well on campus and online thanks to the efforts of School of Information Studies (SIS) students Camille McAllister, Laurence Huot and Margaret Ashburner and their supervisors, Tony Horava, associate university librarian for collections and SIS professor, and Irene Makaryk, English professor and Shakespeare400 event coordinator. Beginning April 1, over 100 individual items will be displayed in three campus buildings, Desmarais, Morisset and Simard.
