The Unlearn Series of events aims to challenge socially constructed norms, like racism, gender stereotypes, and stereotypes regarding sexual orientation (to name but a few). Every month, one of these socially constructed norms will be discussed and challenged at an Unlearn Series event.

Our inaugural Unlearn Series event challenged racism on campus. A panel of students whom have faced racism/racial stereotyping will shared their experiences.

Our second event focussed on challenging gender and sexual norms. We showed ‘Miss Representation’, a documentary exploring the under-representation of women in positions of power and influence in America, and challenges the media’s limited portrayal of what it means to be a powerful woman
