The Main Campus shuttle has been moved to Jean Jacques Lussier (near the corner of University) as of September 24th, 2015.

Dates of service for 2015-2016 academic year

The shuttle service will follow a full day schedule during the 2015-2016 academic year from September 8th, 2015 to April 29th, 2016 inclusively.

There will be no shuttle service on the following dates:

  • Weekends
  • Labor Day: September 7th, 2015
  • Thanksgiving: October 12th, 2015
  • Holidays: December 22nd, 2015 to January 1st, 2016 inclusively
  • Family Day: February 15th, 2016
  • Good Friday: March 25th, 2016
  • Easter Monday: March 28th, 2016

Please note:

  • During the first few weeks of September the shuttle between Main Campus and Roger Guindon Hall may sometimes fill to its limit and you may be required to wait for the next bus (usually 30 minutes later). This is especially true from 8:00-9:30 and 12:00-14:00. If you would like to use your U-Pass with public transit instead, please use the Travel Planner at www.octranspo.com to choose the most convenient route.
  • The shuttle vehicles are not accessible. Check out our Taxi-Shuttle service If you require an accessible form of transportation.
  • Delays may occur due to traffic and weather conditions;
  • There are no guarantees of space availability on the shuttles.  Boarding is on a first come first served basis.

Due to traffic and lane closures along the shuttle route, we are unable to provide estimates for midpoint stop times. Best case scenario would be 5-15 minutes between each stop.

There summer schedule is in effect from May 2nd to September 2nd, 2016.

There will be no shuttle service on the following dates:

  • Civic Holiday: August 1st, 2016
  • Labor Day: September 5th, 2016

Taxi shuttle

The University will provide taxi chits to accommodate students and employees who have a physical disability and need transportation on campus and between the main campus, 200 Lees, Saint Paul University, Roger-Guindon Hall and Carleton University. The quantity of taxi chits will be determined based on individual needs. Taxi chits may not be used for transportation to other locations.

The accessible taxi transportation program is provided in collaboration between Taxitab, the SASS Office and the Parking and Sustainable Transportation Office.

Para Transpo

OC Transpo offers an accessible bus service. For more information about the service offered on campus, please visit our Para Transpo webpage.

Bus ticket program

While most students have access to a U-Pass from September to April, the service is not offered during the summer. For uOttawa graduate students enrolled in joint programs with Carleton University, the University of Ottawa will provide OC Transpo tickets for two (2) round trips per week.

To register for the Bus Ticket Program, complete the online form.

Eligibility

Bus tickets will be granted to graduate students only for either of the following reasons:

  • To attend courses at Carleton University in order to fulfill degree requirements during the Spring or Summer Session.
    • Graduate student must have a valid uOttawa ID card and be registered in a Carleton course
  • To attend labs or thesis related activity
    • This will be granted after receiving a letter or email from the thesis or lab supervisor - this letter must include the following:
    • Contact information of the supervisor (Name, Phone # and Department);
    • Name of Graduate Student including student  number;
    • Dates (start to end) in which the Graduate Student will require transportation between Universities.
    • Letters or emails should be sent to park@uottawa.ca, 139 Louis-Pasteur Priv.

Important

*There will be no stop at Saint Paul University on the shuttle route from Roger Guidon Hall and Main Campus for the duration of construction work.*

People who want to get from Saint Paul to Main Campus can take the OC Transpo Bus 16 and stop at 200 Lees or at the corner of Somerset and King Edward.
