Accessibility Committee

The Student Federation of the University of Ottawa has adopted an accessibility committee in 2011 to implement accessibility policies, such as the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and work to eliminate barriers within campus for students with disabilities. This committee also hosts general assemblies for students to give in person feedback.

Accessibility Fund

The SFUO has funds that go towards providing accommodations for students with disabilities. This fund can pay for adaptive measures to make SFUO events more accessible to students, and can be used for a variety of other purposes. The accessibility Fund Request Form can be found on under the About / Finance section and brought back to the SFUO or can be picked up at the SFUO office, UCU07.  For more information or to submit a form, email vp.finance@sfuo.ca, call 613-562-5800 x4070, fax it to 613-562-5969, or drop it off at the SFUO Office, UCU 07.

Centre for Students with Disabilities (CSD)

CSD is one of the SFUO’s 12 services. They do advocacy work, campaigns, host events, provide workshops, offer a support space, and have volunteering opportunities. See the CSD website for more information, email csd@sfuo.ca, or call 613-562-5800 X 2683.

Student Rights Centre (CEHR)
