The Project
Adventures in Engineering and Science and the Makerspace are collaborating to expand the Faculty of Engineering’s outreach programs and to provide schools and communities with the tools and technologies available in the Makerspace by creating its very own uOttawa Maker Mobile.
The uOttawa Maker Mobile is a Makerspace on wheels; lead by a team of engineering students, the mobile will travel from location to location with equipment such as 3D printers and scanners, laser cutters and Arduino microcontrollers on a full time basis starting in September 2015. They will deliver fun hands-on learning activities using the latest technologies to schools, libraries and community centers across the region, therefore complementing the school curriculum.
This project will provide a full time outreach team that the Faculty of Engineering can assign to deliver recruitment initiatives and outreach programs.

The Objectives
This initiative will help promote the STEM fields to at least 1000 kids in the Ottawa region through September 2015 – June 2016. In the second year of the project, we hope to expand the reach to kids in the entire Eastern Ontario region.
Support Us
Your support for this initiative will help nurture the next generation of engineers, computer scientists and entrepreneurs amongst the youth in the National Capital Region (and eventually reach out to other cities).
