French Intensive Program (PIF)

Our program can help you reach your goals!

In 2015, the program is taking a new direction. It is directed to new undergraduate students who have been admitted to the University of Ottawa in the Fall. It is designed to help them transition comfortably into university academic life in a French immersion environment.

Teaching, information sessions and activities will help familiarize them with their new surroundings and other students. It targets participants with advanced French language skills.

In addition to the program’s goals that are described in further tabs, we have added the following components:

• Introduction to campus life and the city;

• Overview of the Canadian culture and the adaptation process;

• Acquisition of strategies to ensure academic success;

• Seamless integration to the French language as it is spoken in Canada.
