Welcome to Access Service!
Access Service works collaboratively with our university community to facilitate the academic accommodation process.
Access Service is responsible to assess, establish, and implement appropriate academic accommodations for students who have a disability with respect and reliability, while adhering to the University of Ottawa’s policies, procedures, and administrative regulations, as well as Human Rights legislation.
Students who need academic accommodations are encouraged to contact Access Service as soon as possible.

Centralized Sign Language Interpretation Service, SASS
To facilitate requests for interpretation, the Interpretation Centralized Service offers the University of Ottawa community, professional sign language interpretation in English and French (American Sign Language (ASL) and Langue des signes québécoise (LSQ)). All requests for interpretation services that are not tied to a student’s classroom environment can be coordinated centrally by our service. Please do not hesitate to contact us (adapt@uOttawa.ca) with your requests for sign language interpretation or if you have any question.
