 Surviving extreme dehydration: Can resurrection plants provide clues to developing truly drought-tolerant crops?

For the fifth annual New Horizons Lecture, the University of Ottawa welcomed Jill Farrant, Professor and Research Chair in Plant Molecular Physiology, Department of Molecular and Cell Biology, University of Cape Town, South Africa.

 

New Horizons Lecture

In 2007, the University of Ottawa created the New Horizons Lecture in order to honour one of its key researchers and a highly respected leader, Dr. Howard Alper, who served as the University’s Vice-President, Research (1997–2006) while maintaining an intensive research program in catalysis.
