The Department of Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Ottawa offers a distinctive and innovative approach to culture and society, in both French and English.     News

    • The CSA's Environment Research Cluster has awarded Mihai Sarbu (PhD candidate, Sociology) with the Best Doctoral Student Paper for 2014 for his paper, "Instrumental Rationality and Climate Change".

    • The article "Who is falling Pond Inlet?" written by Professors Willow Scobie and Kathleen Rodgers has recently been published on NunatsiaqOnline website.

    • Best Student Paper CSA Award for 2014 was awarded to Sarah Wilkins-Laflamme, a recent graduate student (MA in Sociology, 2010, Honours BSocSc with Specialization in Sociology and minor in Criminology, 2008).
