CURRENT SERVICE STATUS
2014-08-02: There was a problem with mail delivery to CSAIL addresses from late last night (Friday) through about 8:30 this morning. Mail is flowing normally now, but it may take a while for the backlog to be processed.
Hot Topics
- The "registered" StataCenter wireless network was turned off on June 9. All users who wish to print from or have a static IP address on the wireless network must switch to the CSAILPrivate wireless network. Other users may continue to use guest access via the StataCenter network.
- CSAIL Certificate Check- SSL Handshake errors on CSAIL websites are usually indicative of expired or corrupted installation of CSAIL Certficates. Please use this link to check for valid certificates and reinstall certificates if it reports problems. If you continue to have problems, copy/paste the results of this check into a helpdesk request to help@csail.mit.edu.
- The recently announced "Heartbleed" security vulnerability probably indirectly or directly affects everybody at CSAIL. We have a wiki page about it which explains the situation and helps you figure out if you need to change any of your CSAIL passwords. (Almost everybody will need to change non-CSAIL passwords, since the vulnerability is very widespread and has existed for a couple of years.)
- Email scams ask for your password TIG will never ask for passwords! Institute policy forbids giving your password to anyone, even your system administrators and trusted colleagues.
