- Professor Paul Rusnock's article "On Bolzano's concept of a sum”, published in History & Philosophy of Logic 34:2 (2013):155-169, has been awarded the Ivor Grattan-Guinness Best Paper Award for History & Philosophy of Logic in 2013.
- Professor Mitia Rioux-Beaulne has been awarded the Young researcher of the year award 2013 by the University of Ottawa's Faculty of Arts.
- The Department of Philosophy is the top-ranked department at the University of Ottawa according to QS World University Rankings 2013
- The University of Ottawa has recognized Douglas Moggach as Distinguished University Professor. Professor Moggachis the holder of the University Research Chair in Political Thought (Faculty of Social Sciences) and a professor in the Department of Philosophy (Faculty of Arts). The Distinguished University Professor title is conferred to him in recognition of exceptional scholarly achievement, pre-eminence in hisfield of knowledge and a solid teaching record.
