End of uOttawa-Carleton shuttle service

The University of Ottawa has decided to end the uOttawa-Carleton shuttle service at the end of the 2013-2014 school year.

During the summer, the Parking and Transportation services office will be offering bus tickets to eligible students. For more information, please consult this page.

We are currently seeking the collaboration of men 18 years and older who identified themselves as gay to participate in a single interview lasting approximately one hour.

This meeting will take place at the University of Ottawa and will be conducted entirely in French. This research is led by Mr. David Buetti, and under the supervision of Professor Lilian Negura, Member of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies and specialist in
social psychology. This project is within the framework of writing thesis of Mr. Buetti.

GSAÉD condemns sexual violence at uOttawa

GSAÉD is deeply concerned and disturbed by the revelations of violent rape threats made against the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa’s (SFUO) President Anne-Marie Roy, as well as the alleged sexual assault committed by several members of the Gee-Gees hockey team.

Rape culture is prevalent across campuses and in Canadian society at large. GSAÉD stands in solidarity with Anne-Marie and with all of the victims and survivors of Sexual Assault. GSAÉD fully and unconditionally condemns the actions of Bart Tremblay, Alexandre Giroux, Alex Larochelle, Pat Marquis, and Michel Fournier-Simard. Three minute thesis (3MT®)

3MT® is a university-wide competition for graduate students in which participants present their research and its wider impact in three minutes or less to a panel of non-specialist judges. The challenge is to present complex research in an engaging, accessible and compelling way, using only one slide. The winners of the uOttawa competition on March 6, 2014, will proceed on to the provincial competition, hosted by McMaster University on April 24, 2014. The 3MT competition will be in English. (There will be a French competition sponsored by ACFAS in May 2014.)
