Discover why it starts here for Danielle Rutty

It was love at first sight for Danielle Rutty. During a tour of the uOttawa campus in her last year at Burlington Central High School, Danielle fell for the city of Ottawa.

Now entering her fourth year in health sciences at uOttawa, Danielle feels at home in this city. As a very active person, she has taken advantage of the intramural programs, playing both soccer and basketball, and she has enjoyed the many outdoor activities that Ottawa has to offer.

She is also a volunteer at the Ottawa Hospital in the intensive care unit, and she works as a regional mentor for English students from Ontario, helping new students with the transition into life at uOttawa.

“I don’t just go to school here,” she says of both the city and the campus. “I live here.”

Ottawa and Danielle were a match made to last.
