Discover why it starts here for Jordan Wong

The University of Ottawa is located in the heart of Canada’s capital, close to our national institutions. Jordan Wong, a graduate of Stanstead College in the Eastern Townships of Quebec, was first drawn to uOttawa for the opportunity to experience Parliament as part of the House of Commons Page Program.

Now a third year economics and public policy student, Jordan has had experiences that have far surpassed what originally brought him to the city. While he enjoys learning more about the world through his studies, he also has many extracurricular activities that keep him busy. Jordan is vice-president financial affairs for the Economics Student Association, treasurer of the uOttawa chapter of Best Buddies and an intramural ice hockey player.

“People that you meet are what really make your experience,” he says of life at university. “I've been fortunate enough to meet some really great people.”
