- Evaluation and benchmark of network vulnerability and survivability;
- Failure and attack recovery in core transport networks;
- Network planning and design for green communication networks;

Biography
Dr. Jing Wu is a Research Scientist at the Communications Research Center Canada, which is a Canadian federal government research lab. He is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Information Technology and Engineering, University of Ottawa.
His research interests mainly include control and management of optical networks, protocols and algorithms in networking, network performance evaluation and optimization, etc. In the past, he worked at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (Beijing, China) as a faculty member, Queen's University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) as a postdoctoral fellow, and Nortel Networks Corporate (Ottawa, Ontario, Canada) as a system design engineer.
He is a Senior Member of IEEE. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering from Xian Jiao Tong University, China, 1997.
