How do I access the wireless network?
- Choose your operating system and follow our detailed instructions.
- Login credentials required to access uOttawa’s wireless network are your student number and uoZone/InfoWeb password.
Where can I get help to set up my laptop or device for wireless access?
- You can go to the Montpetit Lab Computing Help Centre (Montpetit Hall, room 140) during regular business hours.
Who do I contact if the wireless network isn’t working, or if I have problems with the network?

To consider:
- Desktop PCs - If your network card doesn't support Wi-Fi, you will need a Wireless USB Adapter to connect to the wireless network. Wired Internet service will only be available at a later date.
- Routers - You do not need to buy or bring a wireless router. Internet in residence is provided by the University's wireless network.
- Personal printers - You will need a USB printer cable to use the device.
- Gaming consoles - Consoles that support Wi-Fi connectivity should be able to connect to our wireless network (Resonet).
- Apple devices - The following services are not supported on the University's wireless network:
- AirPlay / AirPlay Mirroring
- AirPrint
- Time Capsule backups (through Wi-Fi)
- iTunes (Wi-Fi syncing only)
- Network sharing (iTunes music, etc.)
- AirPort Express / AirPort Extreme connectivity
