- Joël Beddows and Kevin Orr, two professors from the Department of Theatre, were recognized at the Prix Rideau Awards 2011
Joël Beddows received two awards for Outstanding Direction: the first for the English-language production The Lavender Railroad (Evolution Theatre), and the second for the French-language play Frères d'hiver (Théâtre la Catapulte), which also won the award for Outstanding Production. Kevin Orr received the Outstanding New Creation award for the play Bifurcate Me (Theatre 4.669).
