Technology Transfer
The University of Ottawa has brought a number of innovative and promising research projects into the open market, including compounds to control chronic pain, a technique for growing corneal tissue, and new therapies to mitigate the effects of heart disease or stroke. This exciting process of commercialization is now handled by Technology Transfer and Business Enterprise (TTBE), an office developed to identify, evaluate and facilitate the movement of inventions from the University to the private sector.
As a liaison between the research community and the business community, members of TTBE have cultivated the expertise to make these new ventures a rewarding experience for everyone involved, demonstrating the competitive advantage that the University can bring to an enterprise.
