The University of Ottawa has shown a strong commitment to international relations for almost 40 years. The International Office has been established as a central service dedicated to serving the various aspects of the international life of the university and our global perspective.

About this site

The University of Ottawa’s International Office is a support service for uOttawa students interested in participating in an exchange program. It also provides information and services to international students or exchange students interested in coming to uOttawa or for those who are already here.
The Exchange Students Section will help students determine:
- Am I eligible to go on an exchange?
- Where can I study?
- How do I apply?
- Does my university have an exchange agreement with uOttawa?
- How do I apply as an incoming exchange student?

The liaison and international student support services of the International Office (IO) allow us to recruit candidates from all over the world in order to meet the University’s international objectives.
The services of the International Student Advisor of the IO support the harmonious integration of international students on our campus.
The International Students Section will provide information on:
- How to apply to the University of Ottawa
- What are the language requirements?
- What are the fees for international students?
- How to renew a study permit

The International Office facilitates the development of directions and strategies necessary to meet the University’s academic objectives related to internationalization.
The Faculty and Staff Section will provide information on:
- Services offered by the International Office
- Steps in developing and signing a partnership agreement
- Visiting international delegations
- Information for partner institutions
