Temporary staffing changes in CCS
September 1, 2009 - During CCS staff meetings held this year, we introduced an important CCS initiative called ITIL, IT Infrastructure Library. ITIL is a set of best practices that guide IT Service Management. In implementing ITIL, we are looking to improve our processes by creating a more efficient and effective delivery model for CCS.
We have already had training sessions to certify many of our managers in ITIL foundations and are moving forward to address our production processes. This involves standardizing procedures surrounding changes so that anything put in production is done in a well-planned and systematic fashion. Jean-Claude Lemonde, Assistant Director – Corporate IT Services, has accepted a temporary assignment to lead the ITIL change management initiatives. Jean-Claude is highly knowledgeable in service management concepts and has successfully implemented ITIL processes and roles within his group.
I am pleased to announce that during this period, Jean-Sébastien Bessette will be assuming Jean-Claude’s responsibilities as Assistant Director, Corporate IT Services. Jean-Sébastien has been providing valuable project management expertise for the ERP project. Jean-Sébastien began his temporary assignment as Assistant Director on August 31, 2009.
Please join me in wishing both Jean-Claude and Jean-Sébastien every success in these endeavours.
