What was the biggest misconception that you had about the University of Ottawa?
I’m not bilingual and I thought that a lot of people would speak French, making it hard for me to communicate with people. That hasn’t been the case at all. Everybody here speaks English or is bilingual.
Describe your favourite first-year professor.
My favourite first-year professor is Professor Koppel. He will teach every first-year business student who takes ADM 1300 in English. His class is difficult and stressful. But, he is by far the best lecturer I have had to date. He can keep your attention like no other. He makes the material fun and enjoyable. I learned so much in his class.
Describe the atmosphere among undergraduate students in your program.
All the students in my program are really friendly and intelligent. My program activities consist of a lot of group work, and I have not had any problems working with my peers.
Have you had any fun experiences participating in Gee-Gees sports events?
I sang the national anthem for the home opener football game last year at Lansdowne Park.
There were thousands of people there. The atmosphere in the stadium that day was incredible. I couldn’t have asked for any more school spirit.
