Diane Obam Dallaire is a Senior Project Manager for the Electricity Sector Council.
She currently manages the Council’s Renewable Energy initiative: Building Bright Green Futures (BBGF).
This nationwide research will identify challenges and opportunities currently faced by the renewable energy sector in Canada. The results of the study will be used by stakeholders in the public and private sectors to develop human resources strategy to meet current and future workforce needs in the renewable energy industry in Canada. One of her key tasks also includes partnership building with key actors in the renewable energy industry and electricity sector.
Before joining her current organization, she was responsible for the overall management of a project aimed at identifying best practices and models for the integration of Essential Skills into the training and HR activities of organizations in the plastics sector. Diane also worked in Washington, DC as a public relations consultant for the Corporate Council on Africa during its 2003 biennial Summit, attended by 13 African heads of state and the President of the United States. She holds a B.A. in Globalization and International Development and a Master’s degree in Public and International Affairs from the University of Ottawa.
Ms. Obam Dallaire is the Co-Chair of Business for the Arts-artsScene Ottawa. She currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Canadian International Council, Africa Study Group. She is an active member of the Rideau Club and the National Arts Center’s Southam Club.

Ian Anderson is presently the Governance Officer at the Kandahar Provincial Reconstruction Team in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He is posted to Afghanistan with the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA). Previously, he was a Fellow of the Aga Khan Foundation Canada, posted to Kulob, Tajikistan as a local governance consultant.
He has worked as a political assistant in the Parliament of Canada, a campaign organizer for a Canadian political party, and a research assistant on Track Two diplomacy initiatives related to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He speaks English and French fluently, and has a basic understanding of German, Spanish, and Persian.
