Student ambassadors: dedicated to the success of the student experience

Maybe you’ve met them on a guided tour of the campus, or during a chat session, or on the Facebook page for prospective students as you considered choosing the University of Ottawa… Our student ambassadors are not only the face and voice of our institution, but also an incredible source of information for our prospective students.

The University’s student ambassadors hail from cities, towns and villages across the country, and they grasp better than anyone else the reality of our future students. They’re devoted to ensuring uOttawa is known throughout Canada, and they understand the importance of supporting you when it comes time to choose…your university!

“Our ambassador team is an essential tool for the University of Ottawa. It represents an invaluable resource for prospective students and their parents, providing everything from tours, telecounseling and special recruitment events. Our ambassadors also bring a personal touch to their interaction with the public,” says Catherine Lavoie, the University’s head ambassador.

Our ambassadors are also role models for prospective students because they’re fully engaged in university life: Some of them excel at sports, some are artists, and some are devoted to community and altruistic causes such as the Starlight Children’s Foundation.
