ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION
Active Transportation (also known as Non-motorized or Human Powered Transportation) can be both a recreational activity and a commuting method. Of all the sustainable methods of transportation available, active transportation provides the most benefits. It is:
- The best commuting option for the environment;
- The most economical way to commute;
- Good for your health and keeps you in shape;
- Fun!
ACTIVE TRANSPORTATION METHODS
Cycling is one of the best ways to commute to and from the University of Ottawa. Many people can bike to uOttawa and with the network of pathways and bike lanes that link directly onto campus, cycling is a great commuter option. |
Walking is the most basic method of transportation. Millions of people around the world walk to get to and from work, school or wherever they need to go. Anyone living 30 minutes from campus should consider walking. |
The University of Ottawa community is fortunate to be able to skate during all four seasons! See how; |
