- The Department of History is proud to announce its professor, Michael Behiels has been elected as Fellows in the Royal Society of Canada (RSC),the highest academic accolade available to scientists and scholars in Canada.
- The Faculty of Arts is very proud to announce that three of its professors, Emma Anderson, Peter Bischoff and Lucie Joubert, are among the four finalists selected for the Canada Prize in the Social Sciences (in French). The Canada Prize honours the best scholarly books in Canada.
- Professor Heather Murray has been awarded the Organization of American Historians (OAH) 2011 Lawrence W. Levine Award for her book Not in This Family: Gays and the Meaning of Kinship in Postwar North America. Congratulations.
