The W3C SVG Working Group, part of the Interaction Domain, is chartered as a public group to continue development on a vector graphics format, and associated details such as APIs and multimedia. The language is meant to bring rich, interactive, and interoperable graphics to the Web and the desktop. W3C Members are invited to join the SVG WG.

We also have an associated SVG Interest Group to help build and directly involve the community (see the charter for details), including a Japanese SVG Task Force. The general public is invited to join the SVG Interest Group.

Communication

Feedback to this group may be sent to the public mailing list www-svg@w3.org (public archive), or submitted to the public issue tracking system available from the feedback page. This group will post minutes to, and primarily conduct its technical work on, the mailing list public-svg-wg@w3.org (public archive).

We appreciate feedback on our work through the www-svg@w3.org mailing list (archived) and the "less official" #svg channel on the Freenode IRC server.

For answers to some common questions, please see the SVG FAQ. Feel free to send additional questions to the public mailing list.

We hold regular telcons (teleconferences enhanced by IRC chat), and F2F (face-to-face) meetings and we publish the minutes publicly. See meetings page for times and dates.
