Research and innovation
- Deadlines for the 2011 Insight Program at SSRHC.
- Professors in the Faculty of Arts were remarkably successful in the last Standard Research Grants competition at the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
- Professor France Martineau of the Département de français has received a major $2.5 million grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) in support of a large-scale study on francophones in North America.
- The Faculty of Arts is very proud to announce that three of its professors, Emma Anderson, Peter Bischoff and Lucie Joubert, are among the four finalists selected for the Canada Prize in the Social Sciences (in French). The Canada Prize honours the best scholarly books in Canada.
- Professor David Staines receives the Order of Ontario.
- My Life, edited by Andrew Donskov, has been list as one of the 100 best books published in 2010.
- Béatrice Craig was awarded two prizes from the Canadian Historical Association as well as the Lionel Groulx prize for her book The Rise of a Market Culture in Eastern Canada.
