Clinton Global Initiative
Yesterday, I attended a panel discussion which brought together former presidents George H. W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Bono, President Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, Queen Rania of Jordan, Lance Armstrong and Neville Isdell, Chairman of the Board of Coca Cola. The two hour discussion focused on development in Africa, the role of the private sector in confronting climate change, global health and the impact of the current financial crisis on patterns of giving.
I have been spending every waking minute taking advantage of the opportunity to network on behalf of both the Uganda Fund and the University of Ottawa.
The CGI continues on until Friday night, and I will report again as the week goes on.
