Vice-President, Resources

Victor Simon was appointed Vice-President, Resources in 2004.

Biography: 

Mr. Simon holds a Bachelor of Arts (1980) from Laurentian University and a Master of Arts, Public Administration (1985) from Carleton University.

Victor Simon’s career path has included senior positions in university and hospital settings. Most recently he was chief operating officer at the McGill University Health Centre. He has worked as a senior administrator in many hospitals including The Ottawa Hospital, the Ottawa General Hospital, the Montreal General Hospital, and the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario. He has a background working in post-secondary institutions with experience working at Sault College of Applied Arts and Technology and Laurentian University.

He is a member of the Canadian College of Health Services Executives and on the Editorial Board of Electronic Health Care.

Role: 

The Vice-President, Resources oversees the management of the University’s human, financial, computing and physical resources, as well as facilities planning, security and parking, housing, community life, occupational health and safety, enterprise risk management, Food Services and Sports Services.
