Why study in visual arts

Studies in visual arts will allow you to:

  • Develop a personal visual vocabulary
  • Acquire relevant formal and technical training
  • Explore historical and contemporary art-making and discourse
  • Become part of the wider visual arts community
  • Become a professional artist practicing in painting, drawing, photography, media and digital art, sculpture, installation, performance or interdisciplinary art 
  • Teach visual arts (at the elementary, secondary or university level)
  • Become an administrator in visual arts (work as a gallery owner, museum or art gallery employee, develop municipal, provincial, national or international art policy)
