Computer and reading rooms

The following resources are available to STI students:

At the STI

  • Brian Harris Room (ART 506)

    Contains a collection of Canadian books in translation, donated by the Canada Council of the Arts as well as  a large selection of documents useful to students in the graduate programs. This room serves as a reading and study room for graduate and undergraduate students. A security code grants access to this room.

  • Interpretation Laboratory (SMD 504)

    This lab is reserved for students in interpretation.

At the Faculty of Arts  

  • The Writing Center (SMD 0021)

    Computers and many different kinds of software are available.

  • The Graduate Student Computer Lab (SMD 332)

    Hours of operation
    Monday to Thursday – 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
    Friday – 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Saturday and Sunday – 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

At the University

  • Morisset Library

    The terminology banks TERMIUM (federal government) and the GRAND DICTIONNAIRE TERMINOLOGIQUE (Office de la langue française) are available for students to consult at the library.
