A TRUE CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

Over the years, the Faculty of Science has become a true centre of excellence in research and receives annually nearly $10 million in federal and provincial funding to carry out over 200 research projects and contracts. It also receives funds that are invested in research facilities and research chairs.

Breakthroughs and discoveries of the Department of biology are the results of stimulating research activities focusing on various domains such as ecotoxicology, biodiversity, conservation, experimental evolution, comparative physiology, and molecular evolution.
