CIO Mandate
The CIO is responsible for:
- Planning and strategy institution-wide
- Analyzing and reworking existing business processes
- Identifying and exploiting the enterprise's knowledge resources
- Identifying and developing the capability to use new tools
- Reshaping the enterprise's physical infrastructure and network access
Vision
We lead the University in creating innovative solutions to transform the way we learn, teach, conduct research, and work. We set the IT best practices, establishing the University as a leader amongst its peers.
Mission
The complexity and rapid rate of change in technology demands expertise from a highly qualified team to deliver varied levels of planning, integration, leadership and expertise. Based on our clients necessities, our products and services need to be delivered in a coherent service model.
We will:
- Put students first and deliver services that enhance their experience in learning and in being part of the University community
- Integrate new technologies that enable and reinforce academic pursuits
- Partner with the research community to provide a framework for collaboration, offering processing power and storage facilities
- Foster a creative environment, to spark innovation in using technology between faculty and students, among students, for our researchers beyond our campus boundaries, and for staff
- Provide an engaged, IT leadership for the University, driving strategic changes at the University
- Sustain a robust environment for an infrastructure that is secure and pervasive, allowing for usage of technology to be innovative and effective
