This page is a brief introduction to the Research and Trust Information System (RTIS), as well as the instructions on how to access the system.  It would be in your best interest to print these instructions before entering the system, for future reference.

INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO ACCESS THE RTIS SYSTEM

In order to access the system, click on the appropriate “Access RTIS” hyperlink at the bottom of this page (for either University of Ottawa Employees or External Users).  This step will direct you to a screen called “InfoWeb”.

    For University of Ottawa Employees

From this screen, you will have to enter your Identifier (in this case, your employee number) and follow the instructions on screen for your password.  If this is your first time entering the system, click on the hyperlink "Click here for initial password”.  Follow the instructions on the screen.  The system will assign a password to you.  If you have forgotten your password, click on this same link and follow the instructions.

    For External Users

From this screen, you will have to enter your Identifier type (in this case, External), enter your Identifier and Password (both of these were sent to you by email).  If you have forgotten your password, click on the "Click here for initial password" link and follow the instructions.

Should you encounter any difficulties with the generation of your password, please contact the Client Services Help Line at extension 6555.

It is important to note that the system's security modules have been built in such a way to give you access to the data relevant to your daily duties.  If you detect an error in your data access, please inform Daniel Lefebvre at dxlga@uottawa.ca.

Once the steps regarding the generation of your password have been completed (if such is the case), you will be able to access the RTIS system by entering your Identifier and your password.  Once the Identifier and password have been entered in their respective fields, click on the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen.
