Computing Assistance Request

Urgent requests (for example, the failure of a central file server) should be reported directly to the Computing Help Centre by dialing 562-5800 extension 6555.

Select a classification and enter your student or employee number. If you do not have a student or employee number, choose "Other" as your classification. Next, press Send.

A rapid-entry form appears if you are already registered in the CCS problem-management system. A detailed entry form comes up if you aren't yet registered.



  

If you use this form:

  • Please do not submit passwords or other confidential information
  • all information in your request is automatically entered into the CCS problem-management system
  • your request is promptly assigned to the appropriate group or individual
  • a confirmation with a reference number is sent to you by e-mail
  • response time improves
  • You may respond to emails sent via the problem management system and it will automatically be transferred to the person who is responsible for resolving your request (do not modify the subject line).
  • You may want your supervisor, professor or it representative know about an incident you have reported by completing the "Notifying someone else about this request" section (this email address must already be in our client database for this to work). When completing this section this third person will receive a copy of the incident open and close notification.
