According to the Saudi Ministry of Health, there have thus far been no reports of swine flu in Saudi Arabia. As a precaution, Saudi health authorities have started conducting some targeted screening at all international airports in the Kingdom.

Pre-departure Orientation
The Consulate invites students and parents to attend a Pre-departure Orientation at the U.S. Consulate General in Dhahran 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009. This orientation will help students get organized while planning departure to the USA.

U.S.Citizen Services

Effective May 16, 2009, in an effort to serve you better, all services in the American Citizen Services unit at the U.S. Consulate in Dhahran will be by appointment only except requests for additional passport pages which we will continue to see on a walk-in, first-come, first-served basis. 

All forms, which are accessible on our website, must be completely filled out (with the exception of the signature block) prior to arriving for your appointment.  There should be no blocks on our forms that are left blank.  Please use “None” (i.e., previous marriage, etc.) or “Not Applicable / N/A” as appropriate.      

All wait times for all services will be minimal.  A link for all appointments will be appearing on our website soon.   We look forward to serving you better with our new appointment system.
